The Ironbridge WW2 Weekend
26th & 27th May 2018

Dale End Park, Ironbridge, Telford, Shropshire, TF8 7DW

Our event has grown rapidly over the past few years, from humble beginnings based in a local pub to an event which attracted around 10,000 visitors for the 2017 weekend.

Set in the stunning backdrop of the Ironbridge Gorge, we recreate the experience of life during WW2 on both the home front and in occupied Europe with civilian, Allied and Axis re-enactors.

This is a non-profit making, charity fundraising event in which we raise funds for the Pilgrim Bandits.  So far last year's event raised over £7000, with donations still to be collected.
The Pilgrim Bandits have the sole aim of using their unique training and experience to help and inspire wounded soldiers to live life to the full.

We hope to see you for a fabulous bank holiday weekend.

Campsite Manager position

The Ironbridge World War II Weekend requires a volunteer Campsite Manager for its event in May 2018.

The position involves laying out and managing our camping and private parking areas, assisting with the public and liaising with the rest of the organizing team.

The successful applicant must be available to live on site from the evening of Wednesday the 23rd of May until Monday the 28th of May 2018.

They will be required to erect pin and rope fencing and signage, greet guests who arrive with tents, caravans & Motorhomes, direct guests to their designated pitches, manage parking for our onsite staff and re-enactors and generally ensure the smooth running of the camping area.

Applicants should have their own caravan, Motorhome or tent, and ideally be physically fit, with good organizational and people skills. They must also be able to communicate using a two way radio.

This is a volunteer position. No financial reimbursement will be made, although the successful applicant will camp for free for the duration of the event.

An interest in 1940's events is preferable but not essential.
