The Ironbridge Gorge WW2 Weekend 25th & 26th May 2019
Dale End Park, Ironbridge, Telford,
Shropshire, TF8 7DW
Our event has grown rapidly over the past few years, from humble beginnings based in a local pub to an event which attracted around 11,000 visitors for the 2018 weekend.
Set in the stunning backdrop of the Ironbridge Gorge, we recreate the experience of life during WW2 on both the home front and in occupied Europe with civilian, Allied and Axis re-enactors.
This is a non-profit making, charity fundraising event in which we raise funds for Pilgrim Bandits. So far last year's event raised over £10,000, with donations still to be collected.
Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May 2019
10am - 5pm
Take a step back in time - experience some of the country’s top Living History Groups bringing history to life. There will be Homefront scenarios and reenactments of both Allied and Axis operations
There will be a fire power display and a ‘battle’ each day. We also have a costume pageant, military vehicle parades and display, 1940’s sports day for children, a trader village, a variety of food outlets and 1940’s entertainers all day in the marquee
